We welcome committed, energetic, and hardworking individuals who are self-motivated and can work well with others.  

Volunteers work on specific tasks over an agreed time period.  

We know that volunteers are important to helping us meet our mission.  To support you, we do the following:

• Provide volunteers with volunteer business cards to help promote Blessings for Brazil and expand outreach.
  

• Provide volunteers with Blessings for Brazil postcards to place in areas volunteers believe will help them promote and meet fundraising goals.
  

• Maintain regular contact with volunteers, keep them abreast of present project, and offer suggestions on how they can help.
  

• Make ourselves available to answer questions and brainstorm ideas volunteers have to help reach our mission.
  

• Invite volunteers to Blessings for Brazil events to meet new people, build awareness, and have fun.
  

In addition, there are several benefits to being a Blessings for Brazil volunteer. They include:

• Gaining access to volunteer-only resources and special events with Brazilian organizations in Brazil and the U.S.  
  

• Being recognized for your efforts as a volunteer.  Receive special discounts (sometimes even free) on Blessings for Brazil products.
  

• Whenever possible, volunteers are able to request a Speaker to share information about Brazil and why Blessings for Brazil is necessary.
  

• Feeling good knowing you are helping to make a difference in the lives of children in Brazilian.
  

Additional note:  We strive to provide adequate support for our volunteers.  We receive a pool of applicants, but are limited to the number we can accept at any given time.  We seek to make sure we are supporting our volunteers so they can be successful as their work on their various tasks.

Why I Volunteer?

Like Krishnamurti said, "We are the world, and the world is us". I am 100% responsible for the experiences I encounter and am a part of a whole which creates an experience I will eventually go through. With this in mind, B4B offers me the opportunity to be part of a world that I belive in, where values such as education are paramount and worked on.
