TEACHER ENRICHMENT PROGRAM
PURPOSE
Teachers in many of the disenfranchised areas have limited resources and access to materials to enrich their lessons. The Teacher Enrichment Program (TEP) is intended to help teachers in Brazil enrich the instruction they provide their students.

The Teacher Enrichment Program (TEP) provides small grants designed to help teachers implement instruction that furthers students’ learning experience.  Activities and lessons should be academically rigorous; develop a print-rich environment, and/or motivate students.

The grants will provide teachers with funds for the project, including resources and a monthly stipend.  Monthly fund resources will be $100 USD, which includes $75 for the classroom project and $25 in reward funding.

The conversion value will depend upon the currency rate at the time, but will be approximately R$200 a month.  (Funds will be distributed as follows:  R$150 towards the materials for the project each month of the grant and R$50 towards a reward activity that the teacher can determine.)

Reward activities can include: (1) a special classroom party or event for the students; (2) a purchase toward a book of choice for the teacher; and, (3) a community-building activity..

Blessings for Brazil may alter the lengths of each grant according to funding availability and depth of the project.  Grants requesting equipment will be considered; however, they will be given lower priority.
