CIACAC is located within the favela Parque Jardim Beira Mar in the the northern zone of Rio.  The project focuses on providing a safe space for children.  CIACAC was founded by Neuza Nascimento in 2001.  She took the lower level of her modest home and turned it into a community center. Blessings for Brazil will be working to help her on some facility improvements and educational projects.  We look forward to helping CIACAC grow.

Please note:  CIACAC needs a lot of assistance to improve the facility.  Please feel free to make a special donation here.  All proceeds of this special fund will go to help Neuza improve the center.

Escola Moranguinhos started several years ago through the work of an American woman; however, even after she has passed, it continues under the leadership of Viviana Rodrigues.  Located in Rocinha, the biggest favela within Brazil, Blessings for Brazil supports the school with eduational materials.  We are also in collaboration with Viviana to assist her in starting English classes for the children and members of the Rocinha community.

O Mundo de Arte do Tio Lino (The World of Art with Uncle Lino) was started over 20 years ago in Rocinha.  Tio Lino was a life guard who saved the life of a grateful doctor.  In return, the doctor both Tio Lino his own home outside of Rocinha; however, that did not stop Tio Lino from continuing his kindness.  He converted his old home to a community art center.  His only mantra is no violence, just art.  Blessings for Brazil supports Tio Lino with various grants to help him continue his work.  We also are working on assisting him with organizational development and educational projects.

2007:   How it began?  Solar Meninos de Luz
Blessings for Brazil started after Lauri's volunteer experience at Solar.  Located in Pavaozinho, a favela in the Copacabanan area, Blessings for Brazil provided educational materials to art, music, literacy, math, science, and physical education.  As Blessings for Brazil evolved, so has our relationship with Solar.  We continue to support Solar through our invitations to join our TEP/PAP program.

OUR PROJECTS:
“Volunteering with Blessings for Brazil is an awesome experience. I meet great people who are willing to help, and have full  hearts.

It's great to be able to help for such cause - children. I always had everything when being in school and I know how education helps improve lives.  I've always loved kids and if I know they need my help, I'm willing to help them with all my heart.

Volunteering with B4B is one of the things I will never have regrets about. I'm glad to be part of B4B.”
